Dominique Adenot is a doctor of law. After teaching comparative law at the University of Detroit School of Law (USA), he was, until 2004, an associate lecturer at the University of Auvergne where he created and directed a post-graduate degree in financial engineering law. From 1989 to 2010 he was a lecturer at the Technical Institute of Banking. He is currently a lecturer at the Law School of the University of Clermont-Auvergne. Member of the French Society of Valuators, he is as such co-author of the report “SFEV’s position on the draft valuation guide” from which the tax administration has retained many proposals. He is the author of several academic articles published in specialized journals.

After completing his doctoral dissertation, Dominique Adenot joined the University of Detroit School of Law (Michigan) to teach comparative law and European law to American students. He then collaborated with the largest law firm in Detroit, bringing his knowledge of French business law.

In 1986, Dominique Adenot joined the Banque Populaire Group, which is very active in SMEs. In 1988, with the creation of the Banque Populaire du Massif Central, which covers 6 departments, Dominique Adenot was put in charge of the creation of the high net worth activities. As head of the Financial Engineering Division, he developed an intense activity as an investment banker, conducting numerous mergers and acquisitions. He manages and directs several equity and bond investment vehicles such as SDR, SCR and FCPR.

In 2016, with the arrival of Dominique Andrieux, economic law and international law were added to these fields of expertise. Between 2012 and 2019, the L & A firm has grown from 7 to 20 employees and has established itself in Corrèze via the acquisition of Cabinet Acdp.

Dominique Adenot has been a member of the Clermont-Ferrand City Council since 1989, making him the longest serving elected official. He has exercised many responsibilities, among which we can mention his functions as deputy for finance and urban planning. He has chaired the Société d’Equipement de l’Auvergne (SEM d’aménagement), Logidôme (public housing office) and the Pôle Métropolitain Clermont-Vichy-Auvergne. He is currently President of the Grand Clermont.
